My son has been getting his hair cut by Gene since he was 5. We have followed Gene all around to different shops and so glad he finally has his own shop. Fresh cuts is clean, relaxing, no drama and easy parking. Everything is brand new in the shop. He's still setting up but he's available to cut your hair. We always book him in booksy and we get in and out with no wait. Gene is a great barber. Best cuts in the San Fernando Valley! After we got my sons haircut we went next door to Jersey Mikes for lunch! Great place and always a great fade haircut!

Since the pandemic started I haven't wanted to risk getting my hair cut, but after 7 months of that I was starting to look like a crazy caveman on my Zoom calls. A friend of mine said her 2 boys have had their hair cut by Gene for almost 10 years now and his new location was barely even open yet.
Barely open sounded about as clean as I could hope for so I took a chance and asked her to see if Gene would let me come in. He was as nice as you can imagine and let me come in the same day. He warned me that he only had one temporary chair and the place wasn't finished yet but yeah, fine with me.
I feel like a brand new man after my cut. Gene was masked the whole time and has masks for clients right at the door which made me feel very secure. I see a straight razor shave with a steamy eucalyptus towel in my future here.
Great location, easy parking, clean brand new shop with good music.

Gene is back!
Years ago, I went with my friend to get her sweet 10yo and picky 17yo teen haircuts by Gene, when he had Headquarters Barber Studio in Reseda. Fast forward to now - the 10yo is 18yo and is now the picky teen. The 17yo is now 25 and even when he was away for college, has made a point to see Gene every time he comes home.
These guys were both super excited to be one of the first ones to come in to Fresh Cuts to see Gene, and get all cleaned up! The shop isn't even fully done, but they literally begged to get in with him - and he was happy to oblige his long time customers. They loved the big TV & great lighting, & jazz music - such a great vibe here.
Since we are in the time of Covid, all safety protocols are taken here, so my friend felt super safe when her boys told her they were going in. She's known Gene for all these years, so even though she doesn't need to drive the boys here anymore, she sends her hellos with them because Gene has seen her boys grow up.
Absolutely recommend this shop! For both expertise & the kind of warmth that you want to keep coming back to, for years & years, & years - just like my friend's sons do.
